Who we are
streamars ("we", "us") is operated by Lygorix Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17210748), registered office Office 18850, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA, United Kingdom (the "Company"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between the Company and you, the business or person who creates an account ("you").
streamars is sold to businesses. By accepting these Terms you confirm that you act for a business purpose and have authority to bind the business you name in your account.
Software only
streamars is software for running your own streaming panel on your own server. We provide, host, sell, link to or recommend no channels, films, series, playlists, sources or other content, and we never have.
Everything that passes through your panel is chosen, supplied and distributed by you. We do not operate your panel, we have no access to it, and it does not send us your content or your subscribers' data.
Your account
You need an account in the customer portal at app.streamars.com to start a trial, buy a subscription and manage your licences. Give us accurate details, keep your password safe and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for everything done through it.
Free trial
Your first subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. No payment method is needed to start it. Each account can use one trial. If you have not added a payment method when the trial ends, the trial subscription ends and the licence stops working after the grace period described below.
Subscriptions and billing
- One subscription, one panel. Each subscription gives you one licence for one panel installation. Load-balancer servers that join that panel are included. Running another separate panel needs another subscription.
- Prices are in euros and exclude VAT. Where VAT applies it is added at checkout; business customers in the EU with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse-charge rule.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- You can switch between monthly and yearly, update your payment method, see invoices and cancel from the customer portal. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
- If a payment fails, your panel keeps streaming while the payment is retried, but its admin functions become read-only. If the payment still fails after the retries, the subscription ends.
- Payments are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. No refund is given when a licence is ended under the Acceptable Use Policy.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance.
Your licence
While your subscription is active and you follow these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the streamars software on one panel installation, for your own business. You may not:
- share one licence between several installations, or resell, rent or sublicense the software or your licence;
- copy, decompile or modify the software, except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
- remove, bypass or tamper with the licence check, activation or any other protection in the software;
- use the software in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy.
The software stays our property. We keep all rights we do not expressly grant to you.
Your responsibility
You must hold all rights, licences and permissions needed for every channel, film, series, recording and other content you ingest, store, transcode or distribute with streamars, in every country where you make it available.
You are the operator of your panel. You are responsible for your sources, your resellers and your subscribers, for the services you sell to them, and for complying with copyright, broadcasting, consumer, data protection and tax law. You are the controller of your subscribers' personal data.
You will compensate the Company for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise because content you distributed infringes someone's rights, or because you broke these Terms or the law.
Suspension and termination
If you use streamars for piracy, unlicensed redistribution or any other use the Acceptable Use Policy forbids, we will end your licence and close your account immediately, without notice and without refund.
We may also suspend or end your licence or account if:
- a court, authority or credible rights holder shows that your panel is used to distribute content without rights;
- you break these Terms in another way and do not fix it within 14 days of our notice;
- you tamper with the licence system or try to use one licence on several installations;
- you file a payment dispute in bad faith or commit payment fraud.
When a licence ends, the panel stops working after its grace period, or at once where we end it for abuse. We may refuse a new account to anyone whose licence we ended for breaking the Acceptable Use Policy. You can end these Terms at any time by cancelling your subscriptions and closing your account.
Legal requests
We respond to valid requests from rights holders, courts, law enforcement and other authorities. Where the law requires or allows it, we may disclose your account, billing and licence data to them and preserve records. How to send a request is described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
Availability
Your panel checks its licence with our service regularly. If our service cannot be reached, a licensed panel keeps running for a grace period, so short outages on our side do not stop your streams. We work to keep the portal, licensing and updates available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.
Warranty and liability
The software and our services are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that they will be free of errors or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost revenue or lost data, and our total liability under these Terms in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.
Changes
We may update these Terms. We will email you about material changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
