Questions operators ask.

Short answers. If yours is not here, ask us.

The basics

What is streamars?
A self-hosted IPTV panel: the software an operator uses to manage channels, movies, subscriber lines and resellers, and to serve streams to their players. It is a replacement for XC and Xtream Codes panels.
Does it provide channels or content?
No. streamars is infrastructure. You bring your own sources and files, and you are responsible for the rights to what you distribute.
Who is it for?
Operators who run a panel today and want one that is faster, more predictable and maintained. We are onboarding operators one at a time during early access.

Subscribers and apps

Do my subscribers need a new app?
No. Any player that signs in with Xtream Codes credentials works unchanged: IPTV Smarters, TiviMate, VLC, Kodi and the rest. MAG and Enigma2 boxes are supported too.
Do their logins change?
No. Lines are imported with their usernames and passwords. Subscribers keep signing in the way they do now.
What about M3U and EPG links?
They keep the same shape. Existing playlist and XMLTV links keep working after you point your domain at the new panel.

Moving from XC

What comes across from XC?
Lines, resellers and credits, bouquets and categories, live channels with their sources, movies and series with artwork, and MAG and Enigma2 devices.
Can I try the import without committing?
Yes. The wizard reads your database, produces a report and waits for your approval. Nothing is written until you say so, and you can run it as many times as you like.
How long does a migration take?
For most panels, an afternoon: install, import, review, switch the domain. Early-access operators get hands-on help with the move.

Running it

What do I need to run it?
A Linux server you control. In our benchmark one 4 vCPU, 8 GB machine served 500 live viewers with room to spare. Add load-balancer servers as you grow.
Is my data on your servers?
No. The panel, its database, your lines and your logs run on your machine. Our service handles licensing and updates only.
What happens if your service is down?
Your panel keeps streaming. The licence is checked on your server and the panel continues to run through outages on our side.
How do updates work?
New releases are announced inside the panel and applied from there. No rebuilding, no manual patching.
Can I automate things?
Yes. The panel has an API with per-key permissions for your own scripts and billing.

Pricing and access

How much does it cost?
Pricing is announced at launch. Operators who join during early access get launch pricing and hands-on migration help.
How do I get access?
